1930's Original Tom Blake paddle board more commonly know as a kookbox. these boards were used to paddle but also surf on in
the 30's and 40's . while this one is only a 9'8 in size most were about 12 to 13 feet long so this must have been a kids
board. this board was partially restored with the original color sheme and varnish other wise all original. still has the
original permit on it.. the board is light because of its hollow construction. these boards do not come up for sale very often
and run in the tens of thousands of dollars and sought after by many collectors as tom blake is one of the most influential men
in surfing history as is credited to having to be the first to put a fin on the board. you will not be disapointed with this
board as it will just keep going up in value over the years. price is only 7500.00 a great deal for this rare piece of surfing
history.
