Sam Larson
My name is Sam Larson. I was born in Eugene, Oregon in Summer 1985. Learned how to surf when I was 18.
Knew nothing about it would find boards at thrift stores be so excited and pumped! Had a heap of a car would
drive it hours to find waves. One headlight, no heat, no dash, bad wipers, bad brakes, barely make it
there and back. Lives in junkyard now.
Fall 2004, Learned who Adam Growsosky was by taking figure painting classes at a local community college,
he made a big impression. Had success here and there painting murals at surf shops, selling pieces to
classmates and friends, displayed some work at Boardsports in Eugene.
Summer 2006, Brother was attacked by shark prompting him to move to Oceanside, California. I followed.
Present Day, color and surf. Proud to be part of the Greenroom Gallery Organism.
